~~Day 8 “Missed
the sunrise….but GREAT sunset!”
WHAT?? No sunrise photo today? How can that be?
Some sleepyhead either slept through the sunrise or perhaps it wasn’t
photo worthy. First photo of the day
and it looks like the sun has been shining for some time! Ah well, there’s a first time for
everything!
Enjoying brekkies on the balcony again….Captain Jack Sparrow
at your service!
Playa Norte…..paradise view….
On the way home there is a dance troupe performing by the
market. It was soooo hot in the
afternoon sun but they smiled and shook it like pros!
Needing some shade after that, we relax on our east facing
no-sun-in-the-afternoon balcony…..
The wonderful view from my Isladise chair…
We can’t linger for sunset at home tonight. A few weeks before we arrived on Isla I
received an email that started with…..”I'm not sure if you are used to
getting random emails from the Isla Chatter Board, but I wanted to send
you a quick note to let you know how much I LOVE reading your trip reports in
the Isla Stories section…” Yes, I
get a few of these and have met some wonderful people this way! So, of course we agreed to meet these
fellow Isla lovers. Sunset at
Buho’s on Playa Norte was the designated spot. We find Keith and Elisa sitting at the bar, drinks in
hand. Isla works her magic and
within minutes, we’re chatting like best friends. We almost missed the sunset!
Keith and Elisa….
Somehow the joke of the night was ‘how many times can we get a photo
of Vince holding my purse’!
We were having so much fun, I can’t remember where we ate….did we
eat? Don’t know, but we did
drink! Haha Vince and I had planned to go to
Jax to see Nick and Jon perform for the Island Time Fishing Festival. Such a great cause and so much
fun. So all 4 of us head over to
Jax, pay our cover charge and head upstairs and luckily find some great seats.
It also happened to be Jon’s birthday and he was presented with a huge
cake that was shared with the crowd….after Jon was done with it!
There were a lot of tequila shots, but these guys are such great
entertaining performers. So
talented!
Jon, feeding Nick some cake….
Vince put on my sunglasses, trying to appear cool….don’t think it
worked though!
Too many giggles that night….had a wonderful time! Our paths would cross often over the
next week!
