Isla Mujeres 2014
Day 26 ~~ Tuesday March 4
"Just Another Busy Fun Day Zooming Around La Isla!"
So, lots of photos in this one and it's best to let them show how busy and fun our day was.
Of course, the only way to start the day is with the sun….which I can almost see right from my pillow…

This is the cemetery mid-island…
Vince says he needs to restock the cerveza supply so off he goes to centro…..but he surprises me with a pretty bouquet of flowers…brownie points galore!
Really fun great staff here too!

So, lots of photos in this one and it's best to let them show how busy and fun our day was.
Of course, the only way to start the day is with the sun….which I can almost see right from my pillow…
But of course, I tiptoe out to my usual spot on the sunrise balcony to really enjoy the view. After all there are only a few of these left to savour….
It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day, so maybe we should do a zoom zoom and enjoy all that Isla has to offer….
First stop is one of my favourites that I just have to see at least once every holiday. I first started calling it the 'Crayola House' way back in ~2005. Some people call it the crayon house. Either way, it's a colourful and unique home...

Along the east coast, we just have to stop the scooter to enjoy the views…such a perfect day with so many hues of blues….
This is the cemetery mid-island…
Stopping in to enjoy the views near Garrafon, a zip liner zooms past!….
Kitties everywhere on Isla!
Up the west side where we stop in to enjoy some quiet solitude at Capitan Dulche….read more about it Here--Capitan Dulche
The birds had every post occupied…but then came 1 more, which caused a flurry of activity. It was like watching musical chairs as some got bumped off and had to find a new perch.
And then things got settled and quiet again...
We say adios to Dulche and then head inland to the Women's Bead Co-op...
We bought a few very nice bracelets….we ended up going back for more a few days later!
We pick up a few supplies from Chedraui and make our way back home to enjoy more awesome views...
Vince says he needs to restock the cerveza supply so off he goes to centro…..but he surprises me with a pretty bouquet of flowers…brownie points galore!
Just what we needed for the coffee table….
Of course he did get his cerveza too!...
Time for some snacks!
And our favourite wine brought from home…while we enjoy the sunset….
And once the sun has set and our tummies are growling once again, we make our way to centro and decide on Abuelos for dinner….margarita time!
I had a grilled fish fillet….
Vince had a breaded fish fillet….not sure if it was the Mexican style….it was good..
And they surprised us with a complimentary flan dessert which was delicious!
We also received a little ceramic mug….great staff and great food!
We bump into Frank at Morgan's….more margaritas! Photobomb time!
And then it's off to the zocalo where we bump into more friends celebrating carnival..
And then Frank gets his groove on…with a 'lady'…..
Big crowd tonight for Fat Tuesday….
The party lights reflect on the Church….
Javier and his 'La Bande Sin Nombre' perform…
What a fun day! It's so cool to have the time to be able to relax and really explore the island. I hope one day to get to spend a month or more at a time also. Thanks for taking us along in your explorations! (And for the great photos)
