Day 22
Just another wonderful day on Isladise…..
I love sitting in my zen spot to watch the world wake up….
When you are on holiday for 5 weeks, your daily routine
becomes just that….a wonderful routine.
We have breakfast, enjoy the view, clean up, and then lazily drag
ourselves to the balcony to read and roast. The perfect holiday day!
Late afternoon and the skies are telling us to take
cover. Although it looks
threatening, we get all of 20 drops.
We have some delicious leftovers for dinner tonight but we
need a few goodies to go with it.
Just around sunset we start walking towards Chedraui, taking in the
view as we walk.
The veggie section is fully stocked today….some days it’s
overflowing…the next day it will be empty and sparse!
Surprised to see numerous organic offerings…
With a few bags in hand we hail a taxi….we ask him to take
Vince to Olivia for a take out order, but to drop me off at Caribbean Casa on
the way. As I get out of the taxi,
I give him $40 pesos to cover the whole trip. The driver drops off the other local passenger on the
way. When they arrive near Olivia,
Vince goes to get out, but the driver wants another $40 pesos. Brat! $80 pesos from Chedraui to centro…..I don’t think so! But I’m not there and Vince is a
softie, so of course he pays it.
Oh well. Vince gets a
shepherd’s salad from Olivia to go with our Limón lobster leftovers, and runs
home…no more taxi for him!
The salad was delicious, the leftover lobster was delicious!
The salad was delicious, the leftover lobster was delicious!
We watch some TV, read and eat maple walnut ice cream. Just another perfectly lazy awesome
day.
