Twilight is finished

I started reading Twilight during the girls only Isla Mujeres holiday in late October.  I just finished it....enjoyed it.  It may be a 'teen' book, but for light reading on the beach, it was great.  I'm looking forward to the movie....bought tickets for the show on Nov.21, and I'm also starting the second book in the series, New Moon.

What book have you recently read and enjoyed?

  2. I finished Twilight on my loooong flight home. I read it because my daughter wanted me to, she just finished the 4th book. Kels says the first and the thrid are the best. I don't know when I'll have time to read the rest. I guess I'll have to do another trip with long layovers!
I am anxious to see the movie, I think it will be a mom/daughter movie night :)

  3. read "Merle's Door Lessons from a Freethinking Dog" by Ted Kerasote during our week in the Yucatan this time. Yes, it's about a mutt and his 13 year relationship with his human. It was fascinating. On the flight home as I was finishing it up, I found I was crying like a baby as the dog came to the end of his life. I thought to myself, "This is crazy! Here I am sitting on an airplane crying about a dog I don't even know!" I closed the book and waited to finish it until I got home that night. And then cried!

  4. Looking forward to reading your blog Doris.

I just finished Double Cross by James Patterson last night - great book.

I've loved all of Patterson's Alex Cross series of books - If you remember the movie Along Came a Spider with Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross - that is one of the Cross series books.

  6. Thanks everyone for the new book ideas!

'Trixie'....you're really going to have to work your magic on Bince next Feb so I can come along again! For some strange reason he seems to think it was a one-time-thing! haha

Laura....sorry you had such a tough time getting home. You should have turned around and gone back to Isla like Brenda did! I bought tickets in advance for the Twilight movie...sounds like it might busy at the theatre for this one.

JAH...I'l have to take a look at that book...sounds like a good one even if you end up crying! What would we do without our special family pets.

No worries Jeanne....I did the same thing when I posted on a blog the first time! I like Morgan Freeman but I haven't seen that movie. I loved the line in Robin Hood when a little girl came up to him and asked 'Did God paint you?'. I've seen the Patterson books...I'll have to add them to my list!

    Doris :)

WHAT?? No way! It absolutely must be an annual thing, waaaaay too much fun to not do it again :-)!

Sorry, got off the book subject...oops. I am reading a James Harrison novel, he is a Michigan author. Book is only so so, I don't think it is one of his better ones.
